这种佛龛的全称是：捶揲佛殿形金铜佛龛，简称金铜佛龛，这是一种非常罕见的佛龛。
The full name of this kind of niches is: the golden copper niches in the shape of Chui Buddha Hall, which is called golden copper niches for short. This is a very rare niches.
所谓“捶揲”，就是这种佛龛全都是把铜块敲击成一定厚度的薄铜板，然后直接在铜板上錾刻佛像和图案，最后用铆钉组装成佛龛。

所谓“佛殿形”，就是这种佛龛由龛顶、龛体、龛座三部分组成。龛顶是五脊四坡的单檐庑殿顶。龛体为长方体，都在正面开有两扇门扉，可以向左右两边打开。门扉的外部錾刻有毬路文和牡丹花文，门扉的背面錾刻有天王像或金刚力士像。龛座都比较低矮，在与龛体铆接后周边形成一圈俯仰莲瓣；龛座与地面接触的部分，是龛座四边立面围成的长方形线状的边，而不是一个平面。

The niche is a cuboid, with two front doors that open to the left and right. The exterior of the gate is engraved with the characters of ball road and peony, and the back of the gate is engraved with the image of king of heaven or King Kong. The niches are all relatively low, forming a circle of lotus petals after riveting with the niches; the part of the niches contacting with the ground is the rectangular linear edge surrounded by the four sides of the niches, rather than a plane.
所谓“金铜佛龛”，就是这种佛龛都是用薄铜板制成，制成后还要鎏金，所以叫金铜佛龛。
