| 龛原指掘凿岩崖为空，以安置佛像之所。据《观佛三昧海经》卷四记载，一一之须弥山有龛室无量，其中有无数化佛。《大毗婆沙论》卷一七七记载：底沙佛至山上，入吠琉璃龛，敷尼师檀，结跏趺坐，入火界定。 Gong originally refers to the place where the statue of Buddha is placed by digging rock cliffs into the air.
